Yewande Biala became a household name thanks to her stint on Love Island this summer.
While she may not have found love in the villa, the 23-year-old has been making the most of her newfound fame, and recently launched her own In The Style collection.
Despite barely being active on the platform, she is currently the fourth top Twitter trend in the UK, as a vicious and bizarre debate rages on about her looks.
Countless people have absolutely nothing to do with their days than discuss whether or not she is pretty – and the scientist has had enough of it.
‘There’s a huge thing about dark-skinned women and whether society finds them beautiful, and whether they find me beautiful because I’m dark-skinned.
‘It has been an issue that’s been going on for the last three days, it’s like, “Are you not tired?” It’s so mad.’
And it’s not just faceless people on Twitter, but those that Yewande meets in public as well.
She continued: ‘Anytime I meet people, [they say] “Oh my god you’re so pretty” but it’s not like, “Oh you’re so pretty”. It’s more of, “Oh I see all the backlash you’re getting and I just want you to know I find you attractive.”
‘I just feel like that ugly friend who people have to tell they’re really pretty because like, they feel sorry for them.’
The ITV2 star explained that’s often the hardest part of life after the Love Island villa.
